Pet Portraits make the holidays brighter! A Christmas reveal!

There is an art to gift giving - especially around the holidays - and even more especially, during a worldwide Covid-19 pandemic!

This year, more than ever, gift giving has been a challenge with social distancing, stores closing, and a wicked unprecedented virus running a muck in our world.... But not for Terry Lee Adams, a local Realtor in Woodbury CT from Adams & Adams RE Entrepreneurs, who heard of ShawnaLee's Portraiture through a local arts listing.

Portraits by ShawnaLee proudly announces the special holiday reveal of Terry Lee's Christmas surprise for her significant other, Don! Terry Lee commissioned ShawnaLee to create a Charcoal Portrait of their two beloved and handsome Shar-Peis, Baggins-Blu and Cooper!

The process was easy, and pick up was very safe (outdoors with masks on!).

Portraits by ShawnaLee loves hearing of all the news from her clients as each portrait holds a very special place in the art studio!

Portraits by ShawnaLee offers portraiture of Pets, Children, Homes & Landscapes in a variety of media with a special focus on Classical Charcoal, Graphite and traditional Rich Oils. Art lessons are taught year round privately as well as through local arts organizations. Since the pandemic began last March, ShawnaLee has been offering Studio Demonstrations of her portraiture via Zoom with sign up through eventbrite. She has completed a Pandemic Portraiture Art Class supported by a Grant from the FY20 CT Artist Respond awarded by DECD/CT Office of the Arts that she discovered through the Arts and Culture Collaborative Waterbury region in addition to participating in the Ridgefield Suffrage Centennial project.

Interested in a Pet Portrait?

The artist will need a small collection of your favorite pet photos along with information about your pet - such as personality and background (it informs the work in the studio).
Ideal photos for portraiture are taken at eye level with a single light source. No flash as this distorts perspective and flattens out your pup or kitty's face.
A deposit gets your work in the studio que and the balance is due when you're thrilled with the portrait!
Shipping is additional - or you may pick up at the artist's studio (outdoors with a mask on for safetly!)
