Pomperaug High School Ranked Among Nation's Top 1,000 Schools: U.S. News Ranking

U.S. News released its 'best of' high school list Tuesday, April 19, and a Region 15 school made the list.

SOUTHBURY, CT — U.S. News & World Report concludes that 25 Connecticut Public High Schools are among the nation’s top 1,000.

Pomperaug High School ranked #19 for best public high schools in Connecticut and #792 nationwide, according to the report.

PHS has a 97-percent graduation rate, a student-teacher ratio of 13:1 and a college readiness score of 47.6. There are 1,254 students at the school and 98 full-time teachers. A college readiness score pertains to students performance on standardized tests.
