Raffle Tickets Still Available from Woodbury Fire Dept
Drawing for 4o Prizes on Thanksgiving Eve; Revenue Used for Fire / Rescue Equipment

“The response so far has been amazing, but we hope that even more of our supporters will buy the Thanksgiving eve raffle tickets,” says Fire Chief Janet B. Morgan of the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Dept. Proceeds of the annual raffle, now in its fourth decade, are used to purchase equipment not in the town budget, Chief Morgan said.
“The raffle also supports our restaurants, gas stations, flower shops, and drug stores,” adds Fire Capt Corey Shaker who noted that 40 prizes are available ranging from a power mower to food items. Tickets are on sale by merchants in Woodbury and at the fire department 25 Quassuk Rd at $2 each or a book of ten for $20. The drawing will be at 7pm on Wednesday November 25th in the fire house, and tickets can be purchased right up to the last minute, Capt Shaker said.
For more information about the raffle or fire safety, call the Woodbury Fire Department's daytime non-emergency number 1 (203) 263 3100. In an emergency, call 911.
