Woodbury Crash Leaves 2 Injured

A wreck on a local road led to two injuries Tuesday.

WOODBURY, CT — A crash on Sherman Hill Road Tuesday resulted in two people suffering minor injuries, The Waterbury Republican-American reported. Police said the drivers were fortunate the wreck didn't lead to more serious injuries because of the high-impact speed of the crash.

The accident occurred just before 4 p.m. near the intersection with Heritage Road.

Joseph Mustich, 65, of Nettleton Hollow Road, Washington, Conn., was traveling westbound in a 2003 Toyota Avalon. He crossed the double yellow center line, then hit the bumper of an eastbound 2010 Lexus with driver Kelly Nicholson, 35, of Willow Crest Drive, Hamden, The Republican-American reported.
