Woodbury First Selectman Thrives Through Difficulty

First Selectman Barbara Perkinson came to the job in difficult circumstances.

WOODBURY, CT — Barbara Perkinson came into the town's first selectman's office under difficult circumstances following the death of then-First Selectman William Butterly, but supporters say she has managed to thrive, The Waterbury Republican-American reported.

Perkinson, a longtime selectman, said she has continued many of Butterly's policies while also addressing her own priorities, such as working with state departments to address road problems. She also has sought to make Woodbury friendlier to businesses.

This year Perkinson played a role in the town's budget-making process as well. Read the full story in The Republican-American.
