Woodbury Man Arrested After Accidentally Shooting Home

A local man was arrested on charges that a bullet he fired during target practice struck a home.

WOODBURY, CT — A Woodbury man was arrested last week after he fired a bullet in a target shooting session that struck a home about 1,000 feet away, The Waterbury Republican-American reported. Charles Moser, 48, of 380 Transylvania Road, was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree criminal mischief, and illegal discharge of a firearm.

He is accused of firing an AK-47 rifle when one of the rounds hit 21 Carriage Lane. Police said that Moser was reckless in his use of the weapon and that his actions could have resulted in someone being killed.
