WOODBURY – Nick Abouzeid, a trainee firefighter with the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department, gets on-the-job experience (photo) in extinguishing a fast-moving brush blaze in the town’s wooded Quanopaug area. Behind him is Fire Capt Corey Shaker. A dozen firefighters in Engine 4 and Brush Truck 7 responded to the callout on Tuesday afternoon, April 20th.
