2017 Oktoberfest Celebrations Across Delaware

Whether you're in it for the beer or the brats, there are dozens of ways to celebrate Oktoberfest 2017 in Delaware.

Are you ready for some schnitzel, HUGE pretzels and Oktoberfest beer? Well, you’re in luck. Fall is upon us and Oktoberfest 2017 celebrations abound in Delaware.

The original German Oktoberfest tradition takes place every year in Munich. It’s a cultural extravaganza, and this year, its celebrating it’s 184th anniversary. Now that’s a lot of beer!

When it comes to celebrating the German tradition in the states, Oktoberfest events in Delaware are famous for paying tribute to the country’s heritage and rich culture, as well as serving up a ton of German food and beer.

2017 Oktoberfests Across Delaware

Lewes Oktoberfest September 30th

  • Lewes Canalfront Park
  • 211 Front Street, Lewes
  • A true celebration of the German culture and heritage taking place right on the waterfront, the Lewes Oktoberfest is certainly one not to miss. A 16 piece band helps get you in the mood with traditional German music and they are accompanied by the "Bairisch und Steierisch" dancers.

Oktdoverfest September 23rd

  • W. Loockerman Street, Dover
  • OktDoverFest is a celebration in downtown Dover to promote Dover's small business community, support beautification of the City, and celebrate a traditional German rite of passage in a new and interesting way.

St. John's 27th Annual Oktoberfest and Craft Show

  • 506 Seabury Ave., Milford
  • If arts and crafts are a hobby of yours, be sure to check St. John's annual Oktoberfest and Craft show. Festivities kick off at 11:30 AM and run all day until 10:00 PM. Also new to this year's event is a 5K run and a children's run taking place just before it. Everyone can enjoy all day games and events, with arts & crafts booths, helicopter rides, a variety of games, and more.
