City Government Offices Will Be Closed And Trash Collection Schedule Modified For Wilmington City's Observance Of The Memorial Day Holiday

Memorial Day is celebrated nationally on the 30th of May, which this year is Sunday, May 30.

Wilmington City government offices will be closed on Monday, May 31, 2021, for the City's observance of the Memorial Day holiday. As a result, the Department of Public Works’ Sanitation Division will collect recyclables on a modified holiday schedule:

  • Monday, May 31: CITY HOLIDAY/No trash collection
  • Tuesday, June 1: East of I-95 trash collection
  • Wednesday, June 2: West of I-95 trash collection

Collection of recyclables will continue as regularly scheduled on Thursday, June 3 for areas east of I-95 and on Friday, June 4 for areas west of I-95.
