FREE Coronavirus Testing Is Available In Wilmington This Week

Mayor Purzycki urges residents to get tested, wear a mask, avoid large crowds, and wash your hands.

Mayor Mike Purzycki encourages City residents to be tested FREE for COVID-19 this week at one of the test locations available in and around Wilmington. Some sites require you to pre-register or call ahead, and hours will vary at some sites

In addition, COVID-19 testing will be conducted by appointment only at the Henrietta Johnson Medical Center, 601 New Castle Avenue, on Wednesday, November 18 from 9 a.m. to Noon, and Thursday, November 19 between 1 and 4 p.m. Call 302.655.6187 to schedule an appointment. Henrietta Johnson also offers FREE flu shots Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. No appointment is necessary for flu shots.

The Mayor urges City residents to continue to take precautions to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus by avoiding large crowds, wearing a mask, and washing and sanitizing your hands frequently.

Mayor Purzycki today expressed his thanks to the New Castle County government and the City and State Emergency Management offices for arranging the weekly testing events in Wilmington and throughout New Castle County.
