Free Coronavirus Vaccines, Free Testing And Free Flu Shots In Wilmington

Mayor Purzycki urges residents to beat COVID by getting vaccinated and tested, wear a mask, avoid large crowds, wash your hands, and don’t become complacent about your safety
Mayor Mike Purzycki today urged City residents to continue to take steps to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The Mayor asked residents get vaccinated and tested for the virus, wear a mask, avoid large crowds, wash their hands and get vaccinated.
Free vaccines are available this weekend at:
Saturday, May 1 at Howard High School of Technology
8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Pfizer (16+)

The Mayor also said City residents can be tested FREE for COVID-19 next week at test locations in and around Wilmington. Flu shots are also available next week. For more information or to find the site nearest to you, visit either:

In addition, COVID-19 testing will be conducted by appointment only at the Henrietta Johnson Medical Center, 601 New Castle Avenue, on the following dates:
- Wednesday, April 28: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Thursday, April 29: 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Friday, April 30: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Saturday, May 1: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Call 302.655.6187 to schedule an appointment. Henrietta Johnson will also offer FREE flu shots next week: Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. No appointment is necessary for flu shots.
Mayor Purzycki expresses his thanks to the State and New Castle County governments as well as the City and State Emergency Management offices for arranging the weekly COVID testing events in Wilmington and throughout New Castle County.
