Both eastbound and westbound vehicular traffic along Pennsylvania Avenue between North Union Street and Grant Avenue will be reduced to one lane beginning tonight, Friday, August 23 at 7:00 p.m. through Sunday at midnight. Travel should return to normal by Monday morning’s rush hour. Pedestrian traffic on the north side of Pennsylvania Avenue should not be affected.
The avenue is being closed due to the installation of three sewer lines for the new residential and commercial complex being constructed at 2000 Pennsylvania Avenue. Flaggers will be on-site directing traffic throughout the weekend and motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
