SHOP SMALL THIS FALL AT THE FINAL CURBSIDE WEDNESDAY ON UNION STREET
WILMINGTON, DE—West Side Grows Together announces the final installment of Curbside Wednesdays on Union Street this Wednesday, October 28th. This marks the close of the once-weekly special outdoor dining event at participating restaurants on the North Union Street corridor that was launched as part of Curbside Wilmington in an effort to support local restaurants during COVID-19. For this final event for 2020, West Side Grows Together will partner with Launcher, an entrepreneurship program that provides foundational business training and on-going support to local aspiring entrepreneurs. West Side restaurants will be matched with graduates of the Launcher program to introduce their goods and services to the community. Below is the full list of participating restaurants and Launcher businesses.
Wednesday’s event will also include a raffle with the opportunity to win 4 large prizes featuring items from local businesses. Participate in the raffle by patronizing any of the participating businesses on North Union Street through Wednesday, October 28.
“Curbside Wednesdays have been a boon to energizing Union Street despite all the challenges we’ve faced this year,” says April Pagliassotti, the event’s coordinator and Community Development Manager at Cornerstone West CDC. “Expanded outdoor dining has been on our wishlist for a long time, and I’m glad we had both the opportunity and support to make it happen this year. Supporting our small businesses is important, now more than ever, and this is hopefully only the start of a new chapter for our community.”
The final Curbside Wednesday is made possible with the partnership of Launcher, the City of Wilmington, and the Committee of 100, in addition to support from Downtown Visions and Corleto-Latina Funeral Home.
