Wilmington Native to Perform at Lollapalooza through Berklee
Gray Wetherill Trainer will perform at the Chicago festival headlined by the Chainsmokers and Ariana Grande on August 1.

Jackie Foster, a Berklee alumna from Poway, CA, will perform with her band at Lollapalooza on Thursday, August 1 and Sunday, August 4. The popular Chicago festival is headlined this year by The Chainsmokers, Childish Gambino, and Ariana Grande. Foster’s band features Berklee alumni Gray Wetherill Trainer of Wilmington, Delaware, Ethan David Cate, and Rhett Randolph.
Vocalist Jackie Foster distinguished herself on NBC’s The Voice in 2018, advancing to the Top 8. She attended the college on the Berklee Lollapalooza Endowed Scholarship. Coming full circle, Foster becomes the first Lollapalooza scholarship recipient to return to perform at the festival. Whether it’s pop, rock, R&B, or jazz, Foster’s warm, rich tone and powerhouse vocals can fill up a room and leave audiences wanting more. She is currently working on new music to release in 2019.
The major festival gig comes through Berklee’s Popular Music Institute (BPMI), which gives artists performance experience and prepares them for the evolving music landscape. Students also gain experience at each festival handling on-site promotion, production and tour management. Lollapalooza is one of six festivals BPMI artists are appearing at this summer.
