2 Metro Lines Will Single-Track This Weekend

If you're thinking of taking the Metro on Saturday, Sept. 21 through Sunday, Sept. 22, plan accordingly: two lines will be single-tracking.

WASHINGTON, DC — There are plenty of things to do and see in the D.C. area this weekend. Some attractions you'll find include: Fiesta DC Parade and Festival, Classic Car Show, Bastille at The Anthem, Apple Gala & Fresh Cider Fest, and Taste of Georgetown.

If you're thinking of taking the Metro on Saturday, Sept. 21 through Sunday, Sept. 22, you should plan accordingly.

Here's everything you need to know before heading out for the weekend:

Red Line trains will operate every 15 minutes. From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., additional trains will be deployed, running every 7 to 8 minutes; Due to rail work, trains will single-track between Takoma Park and Silver Spring.

Orange Line trains will run every 20 minutes and single-track between Stadium-Armory and Cheverly.

Silver, Blue, Yellow, and Green Line trains will operate on a regular weekend schedule.
