WASHINGTON, D.C. — Meet Patch's Adorable Adoptable Pets of the Week available through the Humane Rescue Alliance. Five-year-old Auggie looks permanently perplexed and shelter staff love that about him. Auggie loves to be petted, but wants people to go slow with him. With a bit of patience from a loyal owner, he would be a great companion. The shelter noted that he should be the only cat in the home.

Porkchop happens to be extremely affectionate and loves to be with people. The 3-year-old cat is an excellent work-from-home companion, the shelter noted, because he wants nothing more than to sit right next to you and keep you company. Given the opportunity, he is more than happy to occupy your lap, too. He is a curious guy and enjoys checking out his space and looking out the window, but a good cuddling session takes priority. He would prefer a quieter home where he can soak up plenty of love and affection.

Two-year-old Blondie is described by the shelter as a sweet, playful and energetic girl who loves to be the center of attention and receive all the snuggles and pets from her human. She is still perfecting her training and needs some refreshers on not getting too jumpy and exuberant, the shelter noted. This girl will really blossom with some training classes and maybe agility classes to channel her energy. Because she is a young, friendly girl who doesn't always know her size, she would do better in a home with older kids.

Meet Delfina, an energetic, fun-loving pup. At just three years old, arrived came to the Humane Rescue Alliance after being found as a stray in Washington, D.C. This sweet girl loves people and all the attention she’s getting from her foster. While she does well with older children, she may play a little too roughly for young kids and other pets in the home. Delfina enjoys running, playing outside and is very smart and food motivated. If you want to laugh every day, consider adopting this hilarious, loyal girl, the shelter noted.
