Adorable Adoptable Pets Of The Week From Humane Rescue Alliance
These pets are searching for their forever homes. Will it be with you? They currently are at the Humane Rescue Alliance.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Meet Patch's Adorable Adoptable Pets of the Week available through the Humane Rescue Alliance. Wanda is a 1-year-old, 70-pound Cane Corso who is incredibly sweet and quite curious. She needs a family who will be patient with her hesitancy and allow her time to adjust to her new home. Shelter staff believes she'll do best in an adult-only home where she'll be the only animal.
Sky is a sweet, gentle pup looking for a cozy spot to curl up in her forever home. Sky has to work a little harder to get around, but despite that, she'll come to greet you with a wagging tail and friendly eyes. Because of Sky's leg malformation, she has been working with staff at the Humane Rescue Alliance to get comfortable using a wheelchair to get around more easily and would do best in a home without stairs. Sky can be sensitive because of her limited mobility so shelter staff requests that she moves to an adult-only home with no other animals or children that might cause Sky to become stressed out.
Kat can best be described as an elegant senior lady who will not walk on your keyboard or photobomb your Zoom meeting while working from home. She will simply sit quietly keeping you company and waiting for head rubs. If you don't work, Kat will happily accept all day petting sessions. She is looking for an adult only home where she can be the center of your attention and occasionally chase red dots.

Yuri is an adorably sweet but rather shy 8-year-old cat with the most gorgeous big green eyes. She will thrive in a quiet household with a patient adopter. She is litter box trained and loves treats. As an added bonus, if you're 50 or older, Yuri's adoption fee is waived as part of the Humane Rescue Alliance’s Boomer's Buddies program. For more information about adopting these adorable critters or any others currently at the rescue, call 202-723-5730 or visit the website.
