Alexandria Man Shot To Death In Georgetown: Police Report
Homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of Franklin Hernandez Arevalo of Alexandria on Saturday morning in Georgetown.
GEORGETOWN, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the fatal shooting of an Alexandria man early Saturday morning in Georgetown, according to a police report.
Officers from the Second District responded around 2:56 a.m., to the 3300 block of Water St., N.W., for the sound of gunshots. They found Franklin Hernandez Arevalo, 19, of Alexandria, Virginia suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS determined Arevalo had died and transported him later to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any persons responsible for committing a homicide in the District. Police ask anyone with information about this case to call 202-727-9099 or send an anonymous tip by text to 50411.
