Check Out These Hollywood Movie Hot Spots Found In Georgetown
Georgetown BID has shared some intriguing sites across town that are featured in several movies.
GEORGETOWN, D.C. — Almost a dozen movies have had scenes filmed in Georgetown from The Exorcist to St. Elmo's Fire. Residents are able to pop by and check out each one courtesy of the Georgetown Business Improvement District's Hollywood on the Potomac movie guide. Here are some of the hot spots to check out.
The Exorcist Stairs, 3600 Prospect Street NW
This flight of 75 steps was designated a Historic Landmark in 2019 and is denoted with a commemorative plaque. It can be seen in the iconic scene at the end of the movie.

Owned by Georgetown University, this house was used for exterior scenes in The Exorcist.
