Child Sex Abuse Suspect Wanted By DC Police

WASHINGTON, DC — Detectives from the Youth and Family Services Division, Physical and Sexual Abuse Branch of the Metropolitan Police Department are asking the public's help in identifying and locating a suspect and vehicle in connection with a second-degree child sexual abuse offense that took place Thursday in the Berkley area, according to a police release.

Between approximately noon and 12:30 p.m., the suspect approached the female victim in the 5000 block of MacArthur Blvd., N.W., and engaged in unwanted sexual contact. The suspect then left the scene in a vehicle.

Police describe the suspect as a heavyset, tan-skinned man of unknown age. He stood about 5-foot-10 to 5-foot-11, had short dark hair, and wore baggy clothes, black shorts, black mask, and sunglasses.

A nearby camera captured video of the suspect and vehicle, which MPD posted on its official YouTube channel.
