Easter Egg Hunts, Events Around Georgetown
Easter is on Sunday, April 21, but many events will be held beforehand in and around Georgetown. Here's a list.
WASHINGTON, DC — Spring is finally here, which means Easter is right around the corner.
For kids — or, you know, youthful teens and adults — it's never too early to start thinking about hunting for eggs.
Easter comes pretty late this year, falling on Sunday, April 21. (Last year it was on April 11 and the year before that it fell on April 16).

Here's a roundup of some Easter events in and around Georgetown:
The Graham Rooftop — Hop over to the Graham Rooftop on April 20 for an early Easter celebration with the family. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be egg decorating, cookie decorating, photos with the Easter Bunny, and more. Those wishing to attend must purchase a ticket.

Psst: adult tickets include a choice of mimosa, bloody mary, or non-alcoholic beverage. Kids, on the other hand, will have access to all activities, juice or soda, and a goody bag with treats.

Eggstravaganza! — Eggstravaganza!, a four-day outdoor event that kicks off with a lively egg hunt and egg roll, sells out every year. But, there are tickets still available for April 18.
From 10 a.m. to noon, kids can decorate festive animal magnets, make a jumbo egg hanging decoration, and snap a picture with the Easter Bunny. Eggstravaganza! takes place at Tudor Place Historic House & Garden at 1644 31st St. NW.
Tickets range from $5 to $15, depending on age and membership.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny — Here's your chance to grab breakfast with the Easter Bunny.
On April 13 at 10 a.m., Maggiano's Little Italy in Chevy Chase will serve a breakfast buffet and host Easter various Easter activities. Admission is $25 for children (includes breakfast buffet and Easter activities) and $20 for adults (includes breakfast buffet). To buy tickets and learn more, click here.
Easter Sunday at Degrees Bistro — Celebrate Easter with a brunch buffet at the Ritz-Carlton.
The Degrees Bistro Easter Brunch menu, available on April 21, will feature a selection of traditional favorites, including local seafoods and artisanal sides inspired by the season. There will also be a butcher's carving station.
Tickets are $75 per person. For an extra $20, you'll get bottomless bloody marys or mimosas throughout the afternoon (only for adults, obviously).

Zero Waste Easter Egg Hunt — Plastic Easter Eggs cannot be recycled.
So, for this Easter holiday, GreenThinker is hosting Zero Waster Easter Egg Hunt. The April 20 event — which starts at 9:30 a.m. and ends at noon — will take place at Takoma Community Center at 300 Van Buren St. NW.
There will be educational activities, such as lessons on why we need to reduce our waste and how to make a piñata from an old cereal box (make sure to bring an old cereal box or similar cardboard!).

Easter Sunday at the Washington Nationals Baseball Park — Head over to Nats Park in Southeast for prayer on Easter Sunday. Services are at 8:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m., and 11:15 a.m.
Free parking will be available in Garage B. Waterfront Kids Ministry will operate during all services for infants to 5th graders. More information can be found here.
8th Annual Easter Egg Hunt — Celebrate Easter at Tregaron Conservancy's 8th Annual Easter Egg Hunt.
At 10 a.m. on April 20, attendees will gather by the Lily Pond near Tregaron's Klingle Road entrance (map and directions here). Make sure to arrive on time as candy-filled eggs go quickly. You'll also need a bag or basket for collecting eggs.
A separate area will be set up for kids under five to hunt for eggs.

Butchery Class: Lamb Breakdown — Alright, this is an event for adults who want to learn the art of butchery in time for Easter.
On April 17, learn how Via Umbra's House Butcher Scott Weiss and Executive Chef Liam LaCivita butcher a lamb from nose to tail. You'll learn lamb-centric secrets for specialties such as Lambchetta, Lamb Ragu, and Lamb Involtini.

Easter Brunch with the Bunny — Treat the family to a brunch buffet with the Easter Bunny on April 21.
The event lasts from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is at Pinstripes (1064 Wisconsin Ave. NW.).
Adults: $40 including bottomless mimosas, $34 without bottomless mimosas
Children 6 – 12 years: $15
Children 5 & under: free
Holiday gaming prices apply all day. Bowling: $20/hour and bocce: $10/hour.

The Ultimate Easter Egg Hunt — This free event begins at noon on April 22. There will be an Easter egg hunt, as well as hotdogs and hamburgers for children.
The Ultimate Easter Egg Hunt is located at River Terrace Park (Anacostia Avenue NE and Dix Street NE).

Easter Brunch Sunday at the Colonnade — From 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Easter Sunday, guests can enjoy a selection of regional favorites and gourmet specialities prepared by the Fairmont's culinary team.
Brunch offerings include pastries and an egg and omelet station. Entrée selections include a carving station of honey and clove glazed bone-in ham, apple wood smoked beef strip loin, and veal jus. The children's buffet includes BBQ grilled chicken fingers, mini hamburgers, tater tots, grilled vegetables, and mac and cheese.
During brunch, the Easter Bunny will visit children and hold an Easter Egg Hunt in the hotel's courtyard.
Brunch is $95 for adults, $40 for children 5 to 12 years old, and free for children under 5.
