Police Investigating Kidnapping in Georgetown

Police closed down a large section of Foxhall Road, NW Thursday as the investigated a reported kidnapping.  A woman called the Metropolitan Police Department at about 7:10 a.m. Thursday morning reporting that she had been abducted, according to Metropolitan Police Department Spokesman Araz Alali. As of Friday afternoon, MPD had no new information about the investigation. Read more.

Stop Work Ordered at Grace Street Condo Site

A stalled boutique condo project at 3220 Grace St. NW was issued a stop work order by the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs last week for work on a retaining wall that was being performed without permits. Last week an unsigned note from a neighbor was tacked to the stop work order advising the condo developers to get a new architect and a new plan. Read more.
