Over 30 small businesses in Georgetown are hosting special discounts and events on Saturday.
GEORGETOWN, DC — Over 30 independent merchants are participating in Independents Day Saturday, June 30 — a day meant to celebrate the spirt of small business in Georgetown.
Stop by the participating stores and restaurants below for refreshments, activities and entertainment from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., including:
- 'Adult' lemonade tastings (regular for the kiddos!)
- Bubbly while you shop
- Up to 75 percent off merchandise
- Fourth of July giveaways

Enjoy additional Fourth of July-themed festivities in the TD Bank lot at 1611 Wisconsin Ave. and the Fornash lot at 3217 P St. from 12-3 p.m.
Activities include music and games, face painting courtesy of Georgetown Main Street, balloon artist and a photo op with an Uncle Sam stilt walker. Treats incldue popcorn, funnel cakes, cotton candy and more.
