Georgetown Chic

Five of Georgetown's Small Businesses collaborated for a style photoshoot

Last week, Wisconsin Avenue's corridor small businesses decided to take matters into their own hands and give the city some sizzle with style inspiration for the season ahead and the results are glorious!

It was a celebration of creativity, design and talent: Futuristic hairdos by Luigi Parasmo Salon and Spa, specious inside/outside dining at Reverie DC Restaurant, styling and outfits by LiLi The First Boutique Fall Winter collection, outrages shoes by John Fluevog shoes, flawless makeup by makeup artist Akil Nelson and spectacular results by Lisa Maco photography. Fluevog DC Shoes
John Fluevog has come a long way since his humble beginnings in 1970 as a partner in the Vancouver shoe store, Fox and Fluevog – and boy, what a ride! Let us take you on a linear journey through the Fluevogian decades and simultaneously prove that timelines are a) awesome and b) not just for history class. Prepare for tears, laughter, and a deep understanding of the unconventional (dare we say, life-changing?) history of John Fluevog Shoes.

Lisa Maco Photography
As you walk up my staircase, you see a 50th wedding anniversary photo of my great grandparents with their 10 children and spouses and their first grandchild. There are photos of my grandparents on their wedding day, as a young married couple, and with their children. Mixed in are my parents and my husband’s parents as children and their own weddings as well as my own wedding photo and our annual family photos. Our children have grown up watching images of themselves join the gallery and I hope they carry the tradition forward with their own families. If you want to start or continue a tradition like this, I’m here to help.

Reverie DC Restaurant

He knew he wanted the concept to provide an intimate dining experience where guests interact directly with chefs, an informal dining room, and an approachable price point. Spero sees himself as a dreamer, so the name Reverie – meaning a state of dreamy thought – was a natural fit.
