Georgetown Restaurant Wins 2018 Honorary Milestone RAMMY Award
Tony and Joe's, an iconic restaurant on the Georgetown Waterfront, will receive the 2018 Honorary Milestone RAMMY Award.
GEORGETOWN, DC — Tony and Joe's, a family-orientated restaurant on the Georgetown Waterfront, will receive the 2018 Honorary Milestone RAMMY Award from Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), given to restaurants who have been in business for an extended period.
The family-owned and operated restaurant at 3000 K St. NW. is situated on the banks of the Potomac River in The Washington Harbor. The establishment has been serving fresh seafood and steaks for 30 years.
“Restaurants have become one of our city’s greatest assets and Tony and Joe’s is no exception,” Mayor Muriel Bowser said in a statement. “I am thrilled to present the Honorary Milestone Award at The RAMMYS this year, to such a long-standing Georgetown landmark, highlighting the exceptional service and sense of community the restaurant has brought to Washington, and Tony and Joe’s is chief among them.”

Some of the most notable celebrities, politicians and athletes have dined at the restaurant, including Eddie Murphy, Senator Bob Dole and Alex Ovechkin from the Washington Capitals.
Tony and Joe’s is one of numerous restaurants recognized annually at the RAMMY Awards, an anticipated awards ceremony hosted by Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington every summer in Washington. It was first awarded in 2008 to Ben’s Chili Bowl and other past honorees include Billy Martin’s Tavern, The Monocle on Capitol Hill, Tune Inn, Clyde’s of Georgetown, and Occidental Grill & Seafood.

All RAMMYS finalists and honorees will receive their formal awards during the RAMMY Awards on June 10.
