Georgetown Sunset Cinema: 'Little Miss Sunshine' Plays July 23

GEORGETOWN, DC — What's better than catching a movie in Georgetown during the summer time? Grabbing a picnic blanket and watching a classic — like "Little Miss Sunshine" — under the stars.

And that's exactly what you can do on Tuesday, July 23, thanks to Georgetown Sunset Cinema.

Every Tuesday night until Aug. 6, movie goers can catch a film at the Georgetown Waterfront Park and enjoy panoramic sunset views of the Potomac River and Key Bridge.

For those who aren't familiar with "Little Miss Sunshine" — or just need a quick refresher — the movie tells a story of the Hoover family. When Olive, the daughter played by Abigail Breslin, finds out she has qualified for the "Little Miss Sunshine" beauty pageant, the family piles into a Volkswagen bus and travels to the event in California.
