Help Sought In Identifying Man Who Assaulted MPD Officer
The incident occurred in the 3000 block of M Street Northwest Aug. 8 at approximately 5:23 p.m.
GEORGETOWN, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department's Second District is searching for a suspect who threatened and assaulted an on-duty MPD officer in the 3000 block of M Street Northwest Aug. 8 at approximately 5:23 p.m. The suspect then took off after the incident.
The suspect was caught on a nearby surveillance camera and the police department is sharing the photo in the hopes that the public will contact officers with information about him. Anyone who can identify the suspect or who has information about the incident should call police at (202) 727-9099 or text a tip to the department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. Crime Solvers of Washington, D.C., currently is offering a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.
