Key Bridge Lane Closures Scheduled, Expect Moderate Delays: DDOT

GEORGETOWN, DC — Any plans to travel through Rosslyn, VA and Georgetown, DC next week? You may want to find another route.
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announced it will close one lane in either direction on the Francis Scott Key Bridge Monday, Sept. 16 through Friday, Sept. 20 — weather permitting. Lanes will be closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The closures are part of the bridge's two-year rehabilitation plan. Commuters should expect moderate delays during construction.

Built in 1923, the Francis Scott Key Bridge is the oldest bridge over the Potomac. According to transportation officials, more than 60,000 vehicles cross over it daily.
