Learn how to preserve your own family photos, documents and more while exploring Georgetown’s Black history during a free, virtual community program on Feb. 19 from 1 pm – 2 pm. Organized by Georgetown Heritage, Dumbarton House, Mt. Zion – Female Union Band Society Historic Memorial Park, and Tudor Place Historic House & Garden, curators, collections managers, and other experts from Dumbarton House, Georgetown University and Tudor Place will share tips and techniques while they explore the family collection of Neville Waters, a 6th-generation Georgetown resident and president of Mt. Zion – Female Union Band Society Historic Memorial Park.
