This Metro Line Will Experience Slower Travel Times This Weekend
Here's everything you need to know if you're taking the Metro this weekend.

WASHINGTON, DC — There are plenty of things to do and see in the D.C. area this weekend. Some attractions you'll find include: Mardi Crawl, Mason Jazz Festival, DC Dining in the Dark, YMCA Chocolates Galore & More, and The Lumineers.
If you're thinking of taking the Metro on Saturday, Feb. 29 through Sunday, March 1, you should plan accordingly.
Here's everything you need to know before heading out for the weekend:

Red Line trains will run every 6 to 8 minutes between Shady Grove and Takoma.
- Free shuttle buses will replace trains between Fort Totten and Glenmont
- Shuttle buses will operate on two routes:
- Between Fort Totten, Silver Spring, Forest Glen, Wheaton and Glenmont
- Doesn't stop at Takoma
- Between Takoma and Silver Spring
- Between Fort Totten, Silver Spring, Forest Glen, Wheaton and Glenmont
- Riders traveling to stations beyond Silver Spring must exit at Fort Totten
Yellow, Green, Blue, and Silver Line trains will operate every 12 minutes on Saturday and every 15 minutes on Sunday.
