New Georgetown Restaurant To Serve Sushi, Street Food On A Stick
Sticx, an Asian restaurant coming to Georgetown this fall, will serve all its food on a stick. Yes, even the sushi.

GEORGETOWN, DC — The restauranteur behind Burmese salad shop Bandoola Bowl is opening a new eatery in Georgetown this fall.
Sticx — a fast-casual restaurant that serves Japanese, Thai, Malaysian, Chinese, and Burmese food on a stick — will be located at 1728 Wisconsin Ave. NW, minutes from Bandoola Bowl.
Occupying the former Mailboxes Etc. space, Aung Myint's 2,200-square-foot-restaurant will serve skewered foods, like grilled chicken, pork, and even sushi.

"There will be things here that people don't think can be on a skewer," said Myint, according to Washington City Paper.
The idea came to him while traveling through Asia with his business partner, Yo Sangkhankaw, the news outlet reports. They hit up street markets in Thailand, Japan, and Myammar — and got to taste a variety of street foods on skewers.

"We sat down at one of the stalls. What if we just have a store that has everything? All of it. That's where the idea came from," Myint said, according to WCP.
One of Sticx's most interesting culinary offerings: sushi.
Some options include hosomaki, chumaki, tuna rolls, shiitake mushroom rolls, according to the Washington Business Journal. As for hot food, dishes include Thai-style mu ping pork and Burmese grilled chicken.
