Spring Awakening through the Arts

This Spring awaken your creativity by doing something fun and creative, join one of acclaimed artist and educator Vian Borchert's fine art classes. V. Borchert offers two morning classes this Spring in Painting and in Drawing. You can learn how to draw free hand in just 6 classes. You'll learn how to mix colors and create brilliant works of art through the usage of the translucent watercolor medium. Borchert with over a decade of teaching experience in the DMV area, guides the students step by step to produce skillful works of art throughout the duration of the classes. The students follow along and learn about the mediums and all the wonderful aspects that makes these mediums special. In the Drawing art class which is online via Zoom due to COVID-19, the students are introduced to a range of drawing mediums such as charcoal, graphite, pen and ink, colored pencils and learn to work with varied line marks. Live demos are presented in each class and different subject matters from still life to landscape to flowers and even birds are presented to the students. The watercolor landscape photo here is one of the Live demos that instructor Borchert created for the students during class time.

The classes are online conducted via Zoom and are through Glen Echo Park's Yellow Barn Studio.
