Station Closed, Buses Replace Trains: Weekend Metro Schedule
It may take more time for some Metro riders to get around the D.C. metro area this weekend.

WASHINGTON, DC — There are plenty of things to do and see in the D.C. area this weekend. Some attractions you'll find include: the Enchant Christmas Light Maze and Market, Alexandria Cider Festival, Old Town Cookie Crawl, and Downtown Holiday Market.
If you're thinking of taking the Metro on Saturday, Nov. 23 through Sunday, Nov. 24, you should plan accordingly.
Here's everything you need to know before heading out for the weekend:

Red Line trains will run every 16 minutes. From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., additional trains will run every 8 minutes between Glenmont and Van Ness-UDC. Trains will single-track between Friendship Heights and Medical Center.
Orange Line trains will operate in two segments:

- Between West Falls Church-VT/UVA and New Carrollton every 12 to 15 minutes
- Between Vienna/Fairfax-GMU and West Falls Church-VT/UVA every 24 minutes on Saturday and every 30 minutes on Sunday
- Riders traveling to and from Vienna/Fairfax-GMU and Dunn Loring-Merrifield have to change trains at West Falls Church-VT/UVA
Silver Line trains will operate every 12 to 15 minutes between Spring Hill and Largo Town Center. Free shuttle buses will replace trains between Spring Hill and Wiehle-Reston East. Wiehle-Reston East will be closed.
Blue, Yellow, and Green Line trains will run every 12 to 15 minutes.
