Under Armour CEO Lists Georgetown Home For $29.5M
The listed price is over $20 million more than its value, according to a 2017 assessment.

GEORGETOWN, D.C. — Kevin Plank, CEO of the sports clothing giant Under Armour, wants to sell his Georgetown home for $29.5 million, according to the Washington Business Journal. They reported the home is the most expensive residential property in Georgetown on the market.
Plank would make a pretty penny if the 34th Street NW home sells for the listed price, as he bought it in 2013 for $7.8 million. WTOP reported that the house was assessed at $8,688,490 in 2017.
Plank was bumped in 2017 from the Forbes 400 list as Under Armour's stock value dropped 60 percent after reporting their first quarterly loss since 2005.

The 12,200 square-foot home was built around 1815, according to WTOP. It's a 12,200 square-foot brick home with seven bedrooms, a gym, heated pool, entertainment room with a bar, gated parking and much more.
Plank purchased the home to host family and friends, but his family is selling it because they aren't "using it as often as they had hoped," Tom Geddes, CEO of Plank's private investment firm, said. He added the home had underwent a "major renovation," according to the Washington Business Journal.
