Voyeurism Charge For Springfield Man In Upskirting Incidents
D.C. police arrested a man they say recorded video images underneath the skirts of victims on the National Mall and in Georgetown.
GEORGETOWN, DC — A Springfield, Virginia, man is facing a voyeurism charge for numerous incidents of upskirting involving unknown victims on the Washington National Mall and in the Georgetown area, according to a police report.
Police say that between Aug. 25 and Aug. 26 Mumtaz Rauf, 41, of Springfield used a video recording device to record underneath the skirts of multiple individuals in 3100 block of M Street, Northwest and areas of the National Mall.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Youth and Family Services Division, Internet Crimes Against Children Branch arrested Rauf on Tuesday and charged him with voyeurism.

The ongoing investigation revealed numerous incidents of upskirting over the listed dates and at the listed locations. Police ask anyone who believes they may have been a victim to call 202-727-9099 or text a tip to MPD's text tip line at 50411.
