WASHINGTON, DC — It won't be frightful outside as we kick off holiday season this weekend. We'll chase off a chance for showers by Friday evening, and set up a great time to get outside…with a light jacket.
Winds will be picking up overnight and we'll be at 10-16 mph through Saturday, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Winds will be 7-11 mph on Sunday as they move out of the region.
Temperatures this weekend will be noticeably cooler. The high Saturday will be 52 degrees and only slightly warmer Sunday.

We'll be back to the 60s by midweek, with showers likely Tuesday and Wednesday.

Friday: A chance of showers, mainly after 5pm. Cloudy, with a high near 58. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 52. Northwest wind 9 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 51. Northwest wind 7 to 11 mph.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 54.
