Washington DC Weekend Weather: Colder Weekend, Chance to See Snow in Suburbs Sunday Night
Don't pull out the snow boots just yet — forecast keeping any frozen precipitation to north and west. Here's the forecast:

WASHINGTON, DC — We were in shorts just days ago, but prepare to bundle up for a cold, cloudy weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
The weekend starts out partly sunny. Winds will be blowing with gusts up to 20 mph on Friday and even higher on Saturday. Lows will be near freezing both nights.
Clouds roll in overnight and into Sunday, with the high Sunday hitting just 48 degrees. It'll be another cold night Sunday night, with a slight chance for rain, according to forecasters.

The chance of any precipitation is 20 percent. And models reportedly favor mostly rain in the I-95 corridor, according to the weather service, but there's a chance for snow in the northern and western parts of the region.
Slightly warmer temps and partly sunny skies are expected Monday, but rain is expected to return on Tuesday. Chilly temperatures will likely move into the region mid-week, according to AccuWeather.com

"The coldest air of the season so far will settle first over the northern Rockies and Plains and will then push to much of the Southern and Eastern states," notes Senior Meteorologist Brett Anderson.

Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 53. West wind 11 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. West wind 9 to 11 mph.
Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 50. Northwest wind 9 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. Northwest wind 6 to 11 mph.
Sunday: Cloudy, with a high near 48. Northwest wind 3 to 7 mph.
Sunday Night: A slight chance of rain. Cloudy, with a low around 38. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 52.
