Weekend Metro Slowdowns, Changes On These 3 Lines: Oct. 19-20
If you're thinking of taking the Metro on Saturday, Oct. 19 through Sunday, Oct. 20, you should plan accordingly.

WASHINGTON, DC — There are plenty of things to do and see in the D.C. area this weekend. Some attractions you'll find include: Boo at the Zoo, New York Rangers at Washington Capitals, Costume & Candy Crawl, Sugarloaf Crafts Festival, and 29Rooms.
If you're thinking of taking the Metro on Saturday, Oct. 19 through Sunday, Oct. 20, you should plan accordingly.
Here's everything you need to know before heading out for the weekend:

Red Line trains will run every 16 minutes between Shady Grove and Glenmont, but single-track between Van Ness-UDC and Dupont Circle. Additional trains will operate every 8 minutes between Farragut North and Glenmont. Lastly, Medical Center station will be closed. So, if you need to get to and from Medical Center, you'll have to take the bus. Free shuttle bus service will operate between the Bethesda, Medical Center, and Grosvenor-Strathmore stations.
Silver Line trains will operate on a regular weekend schedule (every 12 to 15 minutes). Due to trackbed lighting installation at Benning Road and Capitol Heights, trains will run between Wiehle-Reston East and New Carrollton. Riders traveling to and from Benning Road, Capitol Heights, Addison Road, Morgan Boulevard, and Largo Town Center need to take the Blue Line to get to their destination.

Blue Line trains will run every 20 minutes, but single-track between Stadium-Armory and Addison Road.
Orange, Yellow, and Green Line trains will run on a regular weekend schedule.
