What World Series, Marathon Mean For Weekend Metro Schedule
Taking the Metro to the World Series or the Marine Corps Marathon this weekend? Here's everything you need to know before you head out.

WASHINGTON, DC — Between the Marine Corps Marathon and the World Series, this weekend is gonna be a hectic one for WMATA.
For the Marine Corps Marathon: Thousands of runners are set to hit the streets on Sunday for the 44th Marine Corps Marathon — which leads them on a 26.2-mile course through some of Washington, D.C.'s historic landmarks and monuments. Metro will open at 6 a.m. (two hours early) and operate additional Yellow and Blue line trains during the day. More info on the event can be found here.
For the World Series: For the first time in 86 years, the World Series comes to Washington, D.C.(eep!). Should any World Series game run later than 1 a.m., Metro will flex the closing time at the Navy Yard-Ballpark station and stay open for 20 minutes after the final out. During this time, all stations, except Navy Yard-Ballpark, will be exit only.
