2 Metro Stations Will Be Closed Temporarily Starting Saturday
WMATA is closing the Arlington Cemetery and Addison Road stations temporarily to allow for platform reconstruction and other improvements.

ARLINGTON, VA — Beginning Saturday, the Arlington Cemetery and Addison Road Metro Stations will be closed to allow for station improvements and platform reconstruction, according to a Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority release.
The work, which will run through Sunday, May 23, will allow WMATA to rebuild the platforms at the two stations, as well as install new digital signage, more energy-efficient LED lighting, and slip-resistant tiles.
During the closure, Blue Line service will be halted and shuttle buses will transport passengers to and from the closed stations. WMATA will be running additional Yellow Line trains from Franconia-Springfield to Mount Vernon Square, although weekend service may be adjusted due to scheduled track work.
