4th Of July 2020: What's Open, Closed In DC
Some services will be closed Fourth of July through the rest of the week.
WASHINGTON, DC — The nation is preparing to celebrate America's 244rd birthday this week, and with the holiday falling on a Saturday, that means many local businesses and government agencies will be shut down on Friday. However, that isn't the case for everyone.
So what is going to be open and what's going to be closed this holiday week? We have a breakdown for D.C. below:
All D.C. Government offices: Closed on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.

All DC DMV locations: Closed on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4.
Metrorail: Metrorail operates from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.
