$5K Reward Offered For Tips On Dying Dog Left In DC Park

WASHINGTON, DC — The Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA), a District group, is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who left an emaciated dog to die in a District park.

In a press release Wednesday, the HRA said that on the previous day, it received an anonymous tip that led District police officers to the picnic area of Langdon Park, "where they discovered a pit bull-type dog deceased and abandoned."

The park is in the 2900 block of 20th Street NE. The HRA said the dog was most likely left in the park either late Monday or early Tuesday morning, before 9:30 a.m.
