A pedestrian bridge collapsed in northeast Washington, D.C. late Wednesday morning, blocking DC-295 and leaving at least six people injured, five of whom who were taken to a local hospital with injuries, according to the D.C. Fire and EMS.

The name change was made Wednesday at T.C. Williams High School as officials and students changed the sign to Alexandria City High School. Alexandria City Public Schools officials and students gathered at the school sign to change the name and reveal the new logo.
