Bindaas Bowls & Rolls, a new carryout restaurant in Penn Quarter owned by Knightsbridge Restaurant Group, is planning to open this fall.

WASHINGTON, DC — Bindaas Bowls & Rolls, a new carryout restaurant in Penn Quarter owned by Knightsbridge Restaurant Group, is planning to open this fall.

This 25-seat to-go restaurant, at 415 7th Street in Northwest D.C., will have many of the popular dishes found at the original Bindaas in Cleveland Park and at its location at The Shops at 2000 Penn near George Washington University. The Bindaas location on Pennsylvania Ave. is scheduled to reopen on April 16.

“The time is right for opening our first carryout concept showcasing delicious and easy to transport bowls and rolls,” Ashok Bajaj, founder and president of Knightsbridge Restaurant Group, said in a statement. “Our restaurants have by and large adapted well during the pandemic.”

“We are pleased that patrons crave our good, time-honored, made from scratch Indian fare, so transitioning to create our first to-go focused location makes perfect sense as we move forward together,” Bajaj said.

The new grab-and-go concept at the Penn Quarter location will feature bowls and rolls. Serving from a counter, customers will pick their proteins, which will have a rotating selection composed of lamb, fish, chicken and shrimp, as well as vegetarian options, to build their own meal.
