Buying a Home? You May Be Eligible for Grants Up to $17,500

The Down Payment Grant and America's Home Grant® of Bank of America's Community Homeownership Commitment program are open to DC Homebuyers

A pair of grants available through Bank of America's Community Homeownership Commitment™ (CHC) program can net prospective homebuyers in Washington, D.C. up to $17,500 in grant assistance that doesn't have to be paid back.

In the currently red-hot housing market - with tight inventory, low interest rates, and slow new construction - the environment strongly favors sellers. However, buyers can take advantage of the following CHC grant opportunities to put themselves in better position to buy their next home in the Greater Washington region.

The Down Payment Grant offers a grant equaling 3% of the home purchase price, up to $10,000, to be used for a down payment. Limitations apply, so interested parties are advised to contact a Bank of America lending specialist for details.

The America's Home Grant® offers a lender credit of up to $7,500 that can be used towards non-recurring closing costs, or to buy down the mortgage's interest rate.

Neither grant requires repayment.
