Condo Where Bob Woodward Communicated With Deep Throat For Sale
A D.C. condo where Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward traded messages with Deep Throat during the Watergate scandal is up for sale.
WASHINGTON, DC -- Here's your chance to own a piece of American history: Bob Woodward's former Dupont Circle condo — from which he used to send messages to Deep Throat — has been listed for $349,000.
The unit, which measures 450 square feet, has a balcony where Woodward placed a flag in a flower pot in order to signal to Mark Felt, a.k.a. Deep Throat, that he wanted to meet as he investigated the Watergate break-in that eventually led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon. The Washington Post reports that offers are due today on the historic unit.
When Felt wanted to signal to The Washington Post reporter he was ready to meet, he would circle page 20 in the newspaper that was delivered to the building's lobby each day.
