Construction Begins on Apartment Complex on Southwest DC Waterfront
The View Phase II will include 276 apartments and 3,900 square feet of retail space.

WASHINGTON, DC — A big new apartment building going up at the D.C. Waterfront has officially kicked off its construction. Mill Creek Residential on Tuesday announced the beginning of the construction of 276 apartments and 3,900 square feet of retail space at The View at Waterfront.
Phase II is located along the Southwest Waterfront and will look similar to the existing 256-apartment first phase, but with a bit of a modern flair.
“Companies and people continue to flock to Washington, D.C. due in part to its stable economic base and its highly educated workforce, not to mention game-changing investments like The Wharf, where the historical landscape of Southwest DC will never be the same again,” Sean Caldwell, senior managing director of Mid-Atlantic for Mill Creek, said in a statement.
