DC Holiday Boat Parade At The Wharf: What To Know
The D.C. Holiday Boat Parade promises to be a spectacle at The Wharf in early December.

WASHINGTON, DC — Mark your calendars: the District's Holiday Boat Parade is set for Saturday, Dec. 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Wharf, and it promises to be quite a show.
This event will feature a 40-foot Christmas tree, live music, a fireworks finale, and 60 decorated boats rolling through the Washington Channel.
"Join us as we celebrate the holidays and watch beautifully decorated boats pass by The Wharf," the website states. "Get into the spirit as you decorate ornaments or warm up by our Camp Wharf fire pit while making a s’more. Go ice skating and sample winter drinks at our Waterfront Beer and Wine Garden. And bring the whole family to meet Santa at the lighted Christmas tree and make memories during this annual DC tradition."

The Wharf is part of the Southwest Waterfront area of D.C. In recent years, it has seen a tremendous amount of development, including new restaurants, apartments, and an expansive underground parking garage. A new concert venue, The Anthem, was also built on the site.
For those interested in attending, organizers have provided a map of all the events so you can find your way around. That map is available here.
The event is free for all to attend and intended to be enjoyed by families, so it is for all ages to enjoy.
