DC Police Car Gets Parking Ticket From City: Report

A D.C. parking enforcement officer apparently ticketed a police car in the city recently.

WASHINGTON, DC — Here's something you don't see every day: a fully marked Metropolitan Police Department vehicle appears to have been ticketed by a city employee.

Twitter user Raka Choudhury tweeted a picture of a MPD vehicle with a bright pink slip underneath a windshield wiper.

Choudhury said that the vehicle had been ticketed by a D.C. Department of Public Works employee for parking at a Metrobus stop, and that the photo came from staff at the D.C. Department of Transportation.
