DC Waterfront Community Hosts Springtime Celebrations

WASHINGTON, DC — The Yards, a neighborhood on the D.C. waterfront, is hosting a series of springtime celebrations.

Beginning April 17, participating Yards restaurants, located on the Anacostia River between Nationals Park and the Washington Navy Yard, are partnering with Pacers to host a Brunch on the Go. Restaurants will offer both in-person and box pick-up options.

In addition to brunch boxes, participants can share a photo of their favorite running spot in the neighborhood, tag The Yards, and be entered to win a gift card from Lululemon for themselves and their running buddy. Guests can also bring their dogs and receive a complimentary doggie bandana. They will also have the opportunity to win a gift card from Unleashed by posting a photo and tagging The Yards.

On April 22-23, The Yards restaurants will be offering three pre-made courses and a table setting for dinner, including tablecloths, napkins, glasses to create a romantic ambiance at home.

On the same dates, The Yards is hosting a neighborhood-wide wine pairing event in which participating restaurants will offer specially curated dinner and wine tasting experiences. The event is available both for in-person dining or a pick-up, featuring virtual tutorials and short educational clips from winemakers to round out online programming.

Participants also can enter a social media contest by posting their favorite part of the pairing for a chance to win a $100 gift card to Steadfast Supply.

Starting May 15, The Yards restaurants will be offering curated springtime picnic baskets. A Spring Dining Guide with insider tips on great picnic spots will come with the picnic packs and be available online in addition to a print version.

The Picnic packs will include a basket with everything needed to enjoy a meal outdoors and a $150 gift card to a favorite Yards restaurant.

On March 26, guests can take their family game nights to the next level with a take-home box from The Yards. This game night will have free game boxes available to guests who spend more than $50 at participating Yards restaurants and visit the game night outpost on the Sun Deck.
